OVERVIEW

The SMALL – Mid-Year Group Exhibition 2026 is an open call hosted by Red Gallery, a contemporary art gallery based in Fitzroy North, Victoria, Australia.

This group show celebrates small-scale works across a wide range of mediums and welcomes submissions from artists looking to exhibit in a physical gallery setting.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Open to artists of all nationalities and career stages.
Artists may submit up to three artworks.
Works must meet the size requirements and be prepared for gallery display.

APPLICATION PROCESS

Submissions are made by entering through the gallery’s online portal and paying the entry fee per artwork.
Entry is open entry: payment and upload confirm your place in the show (no separate selection process).
Upload one high-quality image per artwork when entering.
Prepare your works for delivery and hanging following galery guidelines.

BENEFITS

Selected participants will have their works included in a physical group exhibition at Red Gallery.
Exhibition dates include an opening night event and multiple days of public viewing.
Artists may sell work during the exhibition (20% gallery commission applies).

COSTS

$60 entry fee per artwork
$60 for one work
$120 for two works
$180 for three works (maximum)
Artists are responsible for delivery and collection costs of artworks.

ARTWORK REQUIREMENTS

Maximum artwork dimensions:
Wall-based: 60 × 60 × 10 cm
Sculpture/plinth works: 60 × 60 × 40 cm
Weight limit around ~8 kg (for small works)
All works must be ready for hanging/display and properly labelled with artist info and details.
