Burgoyne Original Masters X Art Culture Festival invite applications for the Masters in Making grant spotlighting the next generation of artists across visual arts.

This is a digital open call that discovers, celebrates, and nurtures emerging creative voices across visual arts. It aims to bridge tradition and innovation, offering a space where originality meets opportunity. Top five winners will be featured on ACF and Burgoyne’s platforms, get recognition, and become part of a growing creative network that embodies “the next wave of original masters.”

The ‘Masters in Making’ Grant welcomes creators who see textiles as living narratives and carriers of cultural inheritance, emotions, memory, and time, and threads as metaphors for imagination. The following criteria define eligibility for applicants wishing to be considered for the ‘Masters in Making’ Grant.

  • Open to individuals or collectives residing in India who work with textiles as a language of art and expression.
  • Applicants must be atleast 18 years at the time of submission.
  • All submissions must be original and self-created, reflecting the artist’s own vision and process.
  • Works may be previously exhibited or newly created, as long as they remain original to the artist.
  • Collaborative projects are welcome, provided due credit is clearly given to all contributors.
